A Pachymetry map is the measurement of corneal thickness throughout the entire cornea. This measurement is important in the diagnosis of glaucoma and diseases that affect corneal thickness such as keratoconus and other corneal diseases. This procedure is also important for patients being considered for refractive surgery such as LASIK or PRK.
